Before Leaving Sacramento, we made reservations to the "Kit Peak National Observatory's Nightly Visitor Observation Tour". The tour included a box dinner; an explanation of the stars and ways to track constellations; and visits to three different telescopes. If you like looking at the stars and have always wanted to learn more, We highly recommend it. Be careful driving home. You must drive down the hill with your headlights off so that you don't cause light pollution for the people doing research!
